It keeps getting better.!! This was my 4th trip to Dominican Republic with Caritas Smile! Each trip becomes more incredible. Seeing the growth of the communities we visit and how the impact of our visits enrich every person we come in contact with. When we arrive we are truly greeted like family. When we depart we are treated as hero’s. This is such an incredible opportunity to experience how you impact a community with love and kindness. I can not wait for my 5th trip in January. .

"Take trip, save a life." Going into this experience, I had no idea that it was my life that would be changed. The connection with the local people, seeing the joy on the children's faces, the doctors providing much needed medical care to this isolated group! No words!

On behalf of my son Emanuel (Manny) Sepulveda, a sophomore student with Wheeler's inaguaral trip to DR with Caritas Smile, he had a terrific experience. He enjoyed the sites, the warmer weather, the beautiful beaches. More importantly, he loves speaking Spanish and cherished serving the community, and absorbing the culture firsthand. Getting to interact with fellow Dominican students and adults was so memorable. He still talks about the face painting, salsa dancing, and how good at baseball those kids were. We had a fantastic time. It was a perfect trip for our group with balance of adventures, service, reflection, and relaxation. The trip leaders put so much thought into making every minute of the trip special. I am so grateful to them.

I had a wonderful experience. It was total submersion into the community. We saw the highs and lows of the areas and learned about the culture first hand. We helped where we could and spread love and happiness wherever we went. The community was always welcoming and grateful. All of the staff was top notch and made us feel like family! The accommodations offered breathtaking views. The food was so delicious. I cannot say enough good things about my trip. I am full of gratitude for the experience and for meeting Sixcia. She is an amazing lady blessing so many lives!!!!!
